About Us

Sustainability is the buzzword in the industry today, and rightly so. Unfortunately, greenwashing is a more common practice than sustainability, globally. Slow Textiles is a two-pronged approach to addressing the ills of the industry – B2B and B2C.

About Us

Sustainability is the buzzword in the industry today, and rightly so. Slow Textiles is an initiative that promotes sustainability, mindful production and consumption.

The focus is on promoting Slow Textiles – textiles made from agrowaste, recycled, circular fibres; organic and vegan fibres. The initiative also promotes bio-based and natural textile dyes and processing practices, technologies that support such textile production.

The initiative will attempt to complete the Slow Textiles value chain and build a community in India and globally.

Simultaneously, the initiative targets the consumer – making the consumer aware of the availability of slow fashion and creating a demand for the same.

Our Mission

The focus is on promoting Slow Textiles – textiles made from agrowaste, recycled, circular fibres; organic and vegan fibres. The initiative also promotes bio-based and natural textile dyes and processing practices, technologies that support such textile production.

Our Vision

The initiative will attempt to complete the Slow Textiles value chain and build a community in India and globally. The second part of the initiative will target the consumer – making the consumer aware of the availability of slow fashion and creating a demand for the same.
